Poker Tournaments & Casino Fundraisers

Poker tables, professional dealers and a tournament run from the first hand to the final table โ€” for competitive poker nights and for schools, clubs and charities raising funds.

How a Poker Fundraiser Raises Money

Players buy a ticket or make a donation to enter, and every player starts with the same stack of play money. The money raised stays with your cause; at the tables, nobody gambles real money.

In our experience, poker tournaments raise the most of any fun casino format. The secret is a strong prize: ask sponsors to put together one great prize for the winner, plus smaller prizes for second and third. A good prize keeps players buying back in when they're knocked out.

Ideas That Raise More

Re-buys & pledges

Knocked-out players can buy back in for another donation. Set up a pledge desk, and try a half-price โ€œhappy hourโ€ for re-buys.

Table sponsors

Local businesses sponsor a table and get their name on it for the night.

Branded fun money

Fun money printed with your cause's logo and your sponsors' logos.

How We Run Poker Tournaments

Before the night, we agree the number of players, tables and the tournament length with you. Every player starts with the same stack, and the blinds go up on a schedule so the tournament finishes on time.

On the night, our dealers deal every hand and our Casino Manager runs the structure: moving players as tables break, managing re-buys and keeping the final table on schedule.

At the end, we announce the winners and hand over to you for the prize-giving. Poker tournaments work just as well for a club poker night or a corporate event as they do for a fundraiser.

Questions We Often Get

Do you run the tournament?
Yes. Our dealers deal every hand and our Casino Manager runs the tournament structure and keeps it on time.

What about guests who don't play poker?
Add a blackjack or roulette table so non-players and knocked-out players can keep playing โ€” and donating.

Who supplies the prizes?
You or your sponsors supply the prizes; we announce the winners.

How many players can a poker tournament take?
It depends on how many poker tables you book; tell us your expected number of players and we'll plan the tables and the tournament length.

Can we sell tickets for the tournament?
Yes. The ticket money or donations are yours for your cause; at the tables, everyone plays with fun money only.

Do beginners stand a chance?
Yes. The dealer explains the rules as the hands are played, and in a tournament luck plays a big part, which is exactly why first-time players enjoy it.
